Move mail from your old provider

Before the switch, or right after it, add both accounts to one email app (Thunderbird or Outlook work well). Then select the folders in the old account and drag them into the new one. The app copies every message across; nothing is deleted from the old account.

Keep a copy before a mailbox ends

When a mailbox is removed it keeps working until the end of the paid period, then it and its mail are deleted for good. Copy what you want to keep the same way: add the mailbox and another account to one app and drag the folders across, or in Thunderbird save the folders as files.
